It’s Tuesday and Tuesday is Journal Day. And so…
It is usually the goal of The Racket Journal to get a wide selection of artists and writers because, well, we want to share them with you, our audience. Anna Rotty was one of our first artistic contributors and in the time since has become a supporter and a friend in terms of what we’re doing here. She’s also prolific and talented and so when she sent us a bundle of artwork and asked if we thought we might be able to use one, we just went ahead and gave her the whole issue. And we are so very happy we did. Rotty’s Terra series uses photographs composed within camera taken from scenes in her apartment to craft what at first glance seem like alien landscapes, but once sat with for a while, seem familiar, seem comforting in their sense of escape. They are, like the cover from her Lumen series, amazing and we are so glad you get to experience them.

We’re accepting prose, poetry, non-fiction and art.
No more than 750 words.
We’ll accept multiple pieces as long as they’re no longer than 750 words combined.
