PUSHCART NOMINATIONS : 2022
Here it is: the end of the year.
And though the end of the year means many, many, many things here (mainly the near all-consuming inhalation of end-of-year lists of every stripe). One of those things: Pushcart Prize Nominations.
For those who might not spend their days and nights (and sometimes the wee hours of the morning) in the seedy underbelly of the world of small press literary journals, the Pushcart Prize is one of many wonderful ways journals can laud a little praise on certain pieces they deeply enjoyed.
At The Racket Journal, we consider it to be a certain type of agony because giving preference to any of our writers is nearly impossible. We choose the work that goes between these pages because we believe each and everyone of them to be absolutely exceptional.
That said, we did the thing. We chose six pieces that stuck with us just a little bit more over the course of a long, wonderful year of submissions.
And, well, here they are, The Racket Journal’s 2022 Pushcart Prize Nominations.
