THE RACKET : LIST 29 - It's Hot.

I don’t know where you are, but where I am, it is hot.

Shorts for infinity, dive for the shade, “do we need to buy an air-conditioner?”, “isn’t it too early for this?”, panting-dogs and cold beers, hot.

And where these playlists usually find some common ground between melancholic and catchy, this go around it just felt good to let the hot, hot heat burn a hole straight through the sonic landscape. There are not one, but two songs on this list with “sun” in the title and though this sort of directness isn’t usually my ball game, I’ve sweat through another tank top and I can’t be bothered with anything like nuance.

It’s not only happy happy sun times though, the last few tracks pull you down through early evening when the booze is starting to give you a headache and you’re trying to figure out if it’s time to keep going or time for a lie down.
