THE RACKET : LIST 28 - Every Shade of Slow

Everything feels very fast right now.

Or at least everything around us feels very fast right now, like we’re in a parked car that has somehow been pulled forward at light speed and everything out the grimy windows is sci-fi laser beams and eye-dragging momentum.

And when it came to put together a playlist, we found ourselves unable to even glance at anything that moved fast; anything that even lightly placed a foot upon the gas pedal.

Instead we went slow. Every shade of slow even. Tinkly pianos and stretchy bass lines, sauntering snares and an almost glacial cover of John Prine’s saddest song - we wanted it to feel like you a lukewarm bath after a sprint.
